People with oily skin type must have faced issues trying different face pack products of different brands to get the perfect results for themselves. Today, I will share the secret homemade recipe as a gift to you all. Believe me, it will have tremendous results on your skin. I have personally tested it and have been using it for many months now. It is very easy to make lemon peel at home. We have been throwing away the lemon peel till now but now you can make the best use of it too.

You can use the left-out lemon peel after having the lemon honey drink first thing in the morning which also has great benefits or use it for anything which you want. You can dry the peel for a few days or microwave it for a few minutes to remove the hydration from it. Once it becomes dry, it can be finely ground in the blender and used for many days. I would recommend drying it for a few days for better results, since the hydration might stay behind, and it can create fungus while you store it.

Lemons contain citric acid that evens out skin tone and improves discoloration. Vitamin C is the most powerful antioxidant for the skin. On the other hand, lactic acid in yogurt removes dead skin cells, revealing smooth skin. It also has anti-aging benefits, keeping the skin moisturized, firm, and clear.

  1. Take a spoonful of lemon peel in a bowl.
  2. Add some yogurt to make a smooth paste.
  3. Apply a thick layer to the skin with a makeup brush or clean fingers.
  4. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Rinse away with normal water and pat dry.

This face pack can provide your skin with a quick glow. Both lemon and yogurt used in this face pack are helpful in removing the sun-tan from your skin. This face pack will lighten your acne scars and any other pigmentation on your skin.

You can also add Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth) and Rosewater to it if you want. Multani mitti helps to clean, exfoliate, and nourish your skin, and rose water acts as a toner that provides lots of hydration to the skin.

How often can lemon be applied on the face for better results?

Lemon should not be applied to the skin on a daily basis, due to its high acid content, which can cause the skin to become dry. Using a yogurt and lemon mask every day could also have side effects of over-exfoliation. For best results, use the face mask up to three times per week.
